In November 2021, Dr. Lowenstein, an addiction expert and founder of SOS Addictions, shared his vision of responsible drinking during a Moët Hennessy Talk Series at 142. This was an opportunity to take stock of the meaning and challenges of this priority commitment for all our brands and all our teams, as Philippe Schaus, CEO of Moët Hennessy, reminded us in his opening remarks.
Six points were highlighted during this meeting: addiction can affect everyone, we are unequal when faced with addiction, addiction is a disease, alcohol addiction is an alienation of health and freedom, prevention is fundamental, responsible drinking is a national priority.
To go further, Moët Hennessy is committed to responsible drinking with P&C.
We fully support the World Health Organization's goal of reducing harmful alcohol consumption by 10% worldwide by 2025. In October 2021, to further this goal, Moët Hennessy joined the IARD (International Alliance for Responsible Drinking), a group dedicated to promoting responsible drinking, which brings together leaders in the beer, wine and spirits industry.
Moët Hennessy has also made responsible drinking a priority for its employees. As early as 2012, a global awareness and training program was deployed and will be relaunched and expanded in 2022 as part of the Living Soils Living Together program.
